Use of the Governor's House
The residence and grounds of the Governor's House have been designated for official state functions, hosting visiting dignitaries and functions sponsored by the Governor and First Lady, with very limited public use. Periodic open houses may be scheduled at the discretion of the Governor and First Lady. The private residential areas of the house are not available to the public at any time.
The Governor's House and grounds are available Tuesday thru Thursday, during regular business hours, for official state related events and activities hosted by the Governor and/or First Lady, Cabinet members, Directors and Constitutional Officers; and non-profit organizations of special interest to the Governor and/or First Lady. All use will be in accordance with the established Governor's House Policies.
The Governor's House is NOT available for weddings, proms, commercial purposes, movie-making, media promotions, or other events of this nature.
All requests for use of the Governor's House are handled by the Department of Administration. Any after hours events require additional approval from the Governor.
If your organization and/or event meets the necessary criteria and you wish to request use of the Governor's House, you will need to:
- Read and accept the terms of the Governor's House Facility Guidelines and Fee Schedule
- Complete and submit the Governor's House Facility Use Request Form
- Complete and submit the Catering Agreement (if applicable).
